Öhlins TTX GP Shocks
Öhlins TTX GP shocks are twin-tube rear shock absorbers for motorcycles, which Öhlins says were developed straight from the MotoGP circuit. Each is made for specific models, named in the title with its Öhlins part number: BMW S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR, Honda CBR 600 RR, CBR 1000 RR-R and CB 1000 Hornet, Kawasaki ZX-6R, ZX-10R and Z H2, Ducati Panigale V4 and Panigale V2, Yamaha YZF-R1, MT-10, YZF-R6 and YZF-R9, Aprilia RSV4 and Triumph Daytona.
How the Öhlins TTX GP works
Öhlins TTX creates damping by raising oil pressure on one side of the piston with gas pressure on the other. Öhlins says that because oil pressure never drops below gas pressure, cavitation is avoided, and that the twin-tube design regulates the flow through the compression and rebound valves separately, so the two are adjusted individually. On most single-tube dampers, it notes, the rebound adjuster also affects compression. Öhlins says the Öhlins TTX GP has stiffer tubes to reduce suspension flex, shock valves treated with a special surface coating, and MotoGP-inspired adjuster knobs with a wider adjustment range, and it describes the shock as fully serviceable and repairable.
Adjusters and preload
Öhlins lists each Öhlins TTX GP shock here as a high-pressure gas shock with an external piggyback reservoir. The compression adjuster is gold, and on Öhlins TTX GP shocks the rebound adjuster is silver. Spring preload depends on the part number: most have a hydraulic preload adjuster, integrated on some and hose-mounted on others. Examples:
- Öhlins TTX GP Shock Absorber BM 570 for BMW S 1000 RR
- Öhlins TTX GP Shock Absorber KA 468 for Kawasaki ZX-10 R 1000 / ZX-10 R 1000 R / ZX-10 RR 1000
- Öhlins TTX GP Shock Absorber YA 468 for Yamaha MT-10 / MT-10 SP / YZF-R1 1000 & more
- Öhlins TTX GP Shock Absorber DU 568 for Ducati Panigale V4 1100 / Panigale V4 1100 S
Road and track
Öhlins' own shop marks some fitments "Motorsport product, not for use on public roads": the HO 568 on the Honda CBR1000RR-R SP, and the YA 468 on the 2025 Yamaha YZF-R1, which it lists for the R1 Race. For the DU 468 on the Panigale V4 S and V4 S Corse it notes "For Racing use only, may cause fault code in display".

Will it fit my motorcycle?
Each listing title names the make and models it fits, with the Öhlins part number. The Fitment section on the listing gives the exact models and years; check yours before ordering.
How is Öhlins TTX different from Öhlins STX?
Öhlins STX is a monotube design, where on most versions the shaft adjuster mainly sets rebound. Öhlins TTX is a twin-tube design that adjusts compression and rebound separately.
Does it work with my bike's electronic suspension or ABS?
Not on every model. Öhlins warns "semi-active damping function not available with this damper" for the YA 468 on the Yamaha MT-10 SP and YZF-R1M and for the DU 568 on the Panigale V4 S, and says the "Electronic controlled suspension will be without function" with the HO 568 on the Honda CBR1000RR-R SP. It lists the HO 469 for the Honda CBR600RR as "Non-ABS models only". Check these notes against your bike before ordering.
