Who we are

Iron City Motorcycles is a multi-franchise motorcycle dealer in the North of England, part of Opus Motor Group and trading as SK Motorcycles Ltd. We sell parts, clothing, riding gear and accessories in our stores and online, across the UK, the EU and worldwide.

Our franchises have included Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, Royal Enfield, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Mutt. Alongside them we stock a growing range of aftermarket and universal kit that fits whatever you ride, plus exclusive Iron City dealer clothing you will not find anywhere else.

Everything in our stores is backed by staff who ride and who are trained by the manufacturers we represent. Recognition

In 2023 Iron City Motorcycles was named Motorcycle News Dealer of the Year.

Where we came from

The business traces back to Septimus Jennings, who began repairing bicycles in 1896 and bought his first premises in Morpeth, Northumberland, in 1911. Leeds Harley-Davidson opened in 2012, Gateshead followed, and the group became Iron City Motorcycles. The full story, from bicycles to Ford to motorcycles, is on our history page.
