The Cobra exhaust lines

Cobra calls the Speedster family its premier line of full exhaust systems, in Short, Long, Slashdown and Swept versions. Some Speedster titles here name the PowrPort crossover (PowerPort in the titles), which Cobra describes as a device that connects the pipes from the front and rear cylinders. Cobra describes its Dragsters as a traditional drag pipe look with removable louvered cores, and its Streetrod systems as designed for smaller displacement motorcycles. Other line names in the titles here include El Diablo, 909, Neighbor Hater, RPT, Race Pro, Power Pro HP and True Duals.

About Cobra

Cobra began by making ATV exhaust systems. Cobra says it built its first two custom Japanese cruisers in 1993, when that market had almost no custom parts, and unveiled them at a dealer show in early 1994. In 2001 it opened a factory in Yorba Linda, California, and it says its products are made in Southern California.

Will it fit my motorcycle?

Model-specific titles name the make and models they fit, with the Cobra part number, and the Fitment section on the listing gives the exact models and years; check yours before ordering. Parts with no make in the title, such as baffles, clamps and spotlights, are universal: match them by size or part number.

What is the difference between a full system and a slip-on?

Cobra describes a full system as replacing the entire stock exhaust, from the head pipes to the mufflers. A slip-on replaces only the mufflers and usually fits onto the existing head pipes, but some Harley-Davidson slip-ons will not fit the thinner head pipes of 2017 HDI/EU models. Head pipes are also sold on their own, so check what each listing includes before you order.

Is a Cobra freeway bar crash protection?

Cobra does not call it that. It says its freeway bars and case guards are designed to offer some protection if the motorcycle tips over in a car park, or if someone knocks it over.
