Öhlins Fork Springs

Öhlins fork springs go inside the front fork legs. Some replace the springs in your standard forks; others, such as the 25.5 mm spring kits, are made for Öhlins cartridge kits like the NIX 30 Street. Öhlins calls a fork spring change one of the most cost-effective ways to improve a front fork. The springs here are for Harley-Davidson and Yamaha above all, then Honda, Ducati, KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Aprilia and Triumph, and many titles give the rate in N/mm.

What Öhlins says about its fork springs

Öhlins offers linear fork springs to suit each type of bike, rider weight and personal preference, for fitting into the standard front fork. It says its choice of material and manufacturing keep the difference in spring rate below 1.5%. Together with Öhlins fork oil, it says, a spring change can considerably improve how an original fork responds.

Will it fit my motorcycle?

Which fork spring rate do I need?

Öhlins says the rate should suit rider weight and preference, and it gives its recommendations in the mounting instructions for the fork or kit. Many titles here state the rate in N/mm; where the title does not, match the Öhlins part number to the one your instructions call for.
