Öhlins FKS Street Cartridge Kits
Öhlins FKS Street kits are fork cartridge kits for road motorcycles, part numbers starting FKS, and they replace the internals of your standard front forks. Öhlins sells them as NIX 30 Street and NIX 22 kits; the FKS 212, 222, 226 and 228 kits for Harley-Davidson Dyna, Fat Boy and Touring are NIX 22. The NIX 30 FGK kits are on the Öhlins NIX 30 page.
How the NIX design works
Öhlins NIX kits split the damping between the fork legs: compression damping in the left leg and rebound in the right. All the adjustments, including spring preload, are made at the top caps, and on the NIX 30 Street FKS 518 Öhlins describes black top caps. Öhlins says the NIX technology is developed from high-level racing such as WSBK, and that NIX 22 brings it to motorcycles with conventional front forks.
Springs and fitting
Some kits include springs and some do not: Öhlins supplies the FKS 228 with springs, while springs for the FKS 518 are ordered separately. Spring-rate and oil recommendations for rider weight are in each kit's mounting instructions. Öhlins strongly recommends installation by a professional motorcycle or suspension workshop. Examples:

Will it fit my motorcycle?
Each listing title names the make and models it fits, with the Öhlins part number. The Fitment section on the listing gives the exact models and years; check yours before ordering.
Does an Öhlins FKS Street kit include springs?
It depends on the kit. Öhlins supplies some with springs, such as the FKS 228, and some without, such as the FKS 518. The listing and the kit's mounting instructions say which.
