A solo seat and its pillion are two listings

This is the most common mistake on this page. Part 52000293 is a Sundowner solo seat for the Fat Boy, and part 52400170 is the Sundowner passenger pillion listed for the same model; part 52400225 is the Sundowner pillion with no model named. A two-up look is often built from a solo seat plus a separate pillion, so check whether the listing is solo, pillion or a complete two-up seat before ordering.

The named seat families

Harley-Davidson sells seats as families, and the name tells you the shape and the rider position. Sundowner is the largest group here, alongside Badlander, Switchback, Tallboy, Hammock and Low-Profile. Within a family the listing adds the shape — Switchback seats come in a High-Top, Sundowner seats in a Deep Bucket. Reach and Super Reduced Reach are named in the listings as their own variants. A small number of heated seats are also listed.
