Biltwell Footpegs & Clevis Mounts for Harley-Davidson

Ten of the fourteen products here are footpeg mounting clevises, not footpegs, because on a Biltwell setup the two are sold apart. Pegs and clevises are sold separately

Every peg here, whether cast stainless steel or CNC-machined aluminium, uses the same idea: a chromoly clevis with a threaded interface lets the fitter set the peg's angle, then a 5/16-18 Allen screw locks a conical fit inside the peg body to hold it there. The clevis then bolts to the bike's existing mount, either through the stock pivot pin or with 3/8 inch bolts and nuts.

Two clevis generations cover the range, Step and ST18

Biltwell's own naming splits the mounts into two generations: the Step clevis for the Sportster and Dyna family, and the ST18 clevis for 2018-and-later Softail, each sold as a rider or a passenger version. Material varies by line too: Sanderson and Mushman pegs are investment-cast stainless steel; Punisher and the XL Step peg are CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminium with stainless steel traction pins. Biltwell say the Mushman name pays homage to Steve McQueen's racing alias "Harvey Mushman," which he wrote on the sign-up sheets at the Elsinore Grand Prix so the studio bosses couldn't give him grief for living dangerously.
